A sense of boundlessness that gives form to the character of space
Color, light, sound, and scent, along with the echo of footsteps and the touch of fingertips, shape how space is perceived. Impression is not articulated in the moment, but gradually emerges after time spent within it. A brand space functions much like a personalized identity card, expressing its character through material details; even in silence, it resonates with those who are attuned to it.
Entering the AVEDA counter on the second floor of DREAM PLAZA, the floor is perceived before the architecture. The ochre mineral coating carries a subtle earthy sheen, its low-saturated tone gently slowing the pace upon entry. The atmosphere settles immediately, defining the space as one oriented toward calm and balance. The seamless PANDOMO flooring extends visual continuity throughout the interior, softly connecting arched entrances, display areas, and service zones.
Delicate, classical small floral relief patterns are hand-pressed into the material before it fully dries, leaving traces that shift gently with light and hold a subtly still yet living presence, echoing the aesthetics of natural growth. A framed section of this surface language is presented on the wall like a fragment of a living material field. It resonates with the quiet presence of walnut wood and black metal elements, as well as timber veneers marked with botanical motifs, allowing the material composition of the space to remain coherent yet layered. Enabled by the PANDOMO Studio series’ specialised embossing techniques, the surface transcends the conventional austerity of cement, revealing a more emotive material expression that lends the space both character and artistic depth.
Within a high-traffic salon environment, the flooring supports daily movement and pause with stability and slip resistance. This sense of durability, built over time through material performance, allows the space to move at a slower, more internal rhythm.
