➤ FLAVIKER MIDI

A Natural Dwelling Rooted in the Pristine Texture of Stone

How can the luminous landscape of limestone quarries in southern France be fully captured within one’s gaze and never forgotten? Memory is inherently fallible, gradually fading in detail as time passes. Along the journey, wind moves through the pores of raw stone, its rough texture brushing against the skin; when eyes are closed, sunlight spills across the walls, refracting into delicate specks of light upon the retina. These impressions—rich in color, texture, and even scent—become cues through which we perceive the character of a place.

➤ ABKSTONE CLIFF
Geological textures, like fingerprints, are shaped through long processes of sedimentation and weathering, forming a terroir that resists replication. Once, such sensations could only be encountered in situ; now, the intimacy between human and land begins instantly beneath each step. Even on a subtropical island, the creamy mineral tones seem to flow across the surface, where painterly, uneven speckles settle into the tiles. Through touch, one is quietly connected to the stony textures across the sea, composing a serene and understated impression of Provence.

➤ ABKSTONE CLIFF
As this sensory experience extends from the ground to the walls of the space, the geographical boundaries formed by material gradually dissolve, inch by inch. The hand perceives textures reminiscent of natural erosion, echoing the sun-kissed tones of the skin and conveying the warmth of lived reality through the palm. Through eyes attuned to the unadorned beauty of coarse linen and unglazed clay, one senses a personal, inward longing for dwelling. In this moment, the landscape exists within the mind, rather than elsewhere.

➤ FLAVIKER MIDI
From light and shadow, texture and stratification, to a profound rendering of stone’s intrinsic nature, ABK reinterprets the luminous landscapes of southern France and the humanistic character of the Mediterranean coast through its CLIFF and MIDI collections, translating distant geographies into a tangible presence within everyday life. Following this design trajectory, Taiwan Marmo, as ABK’s official distributor in Taiwan, fully introduces this ethos into the local context—extending beyond material application to carry forward its underlying aesthetic logic and construct a coherent spatial narrative system. Much like a premium vehicle imported in its original form, every aspect, from core structure to refined detail, is rooted in systematic thinking; rather than a mere assembly of fragments, it is a process of grounding downward and tracing upward, ensuring a complete realization from concept to execution. For truly compelling materiality arises from the integration of details and the harmony of the whole, through which a sense of purity and completeness is ultimately achieved.
