A person's inherent qualities, even when quietly seated with a humble demeanor, radiate a unique charisma that is impossible to ignore. This is similar to how the subtle arrangement of elements within a space—ceiling, floor, and walls—can quietly influence the atmosphere, becoming a key factor in shaping sensory experiences. The materials, textures, and tactile sensations deeply resonate, becoming decisive in determining whether one stays for a fleeting moment or lingers for longer. Despite various external layers, the refined essence can only be perceived by those who truly appreciate the hidden brilliance within.
As people’s aesthetic awareness grows and design styles evolve, spaces that embody modern minimalism in a tranquil manner are increasingly cherished. In this serene ambiance, the smooth and elegant qualities of PANDOMO have transitioned from being a rare building material in Asia to one that is now widely adopted by designers. Its unique seamless texture, whether applied to walls or floors, extends fluidly with the design concept. A prime example is the interior of the "Xue Xue Institute" in Neihu, Taipei, a cultural and creative incubator, where PANDOMO either boldly or elegantly enhances the space’s multifaceted expression.
Building a Strong Foundation with Integrity
In 1997, by a stroke of serendipity, HAU CHENG's General Manager, Honda Wu, traveled to Germany, where he encountered the innovative flooring systems of the century-old brand ARDEX. This encounter proved to be a pivotal moment in his career. Among the invited manufacturers, Honda Wu, then a novice, foresaw future business opportunities with sincere determination. He decided to return to ARDEX headquarters for further training, becoming the first certified installation unit in Asia and securing the general agency for Taiwan. This milestone equipped Hau Cheng Co., Ltd. with the wings to soar.
What enabled Honda Wu, who began in the traditional industry in 1993 as a distributor for KINWON in northern Taiwan, to expand his chemical building materials business to construction companies and material firms, eventually establishing a strong presence across Taiwan? "Success depends on human effort and doing things well." This motto has guided his management philosophy for 30 years. During his training at ARDEX, Honda Wu observed the hands-on approach and professional sales model, realizing that building a strong team required not only pursuing product excellence but also strengthening internal brand education and understanding true market needs. This craftsman's spirit has been internalized and perpetuated ever since.
Thriving Against the Odds
As a dedicated agent, HAU CHENG has always defied conventional thinking, boldly exploring the quality and aesthetic functionality of building materials. Despite the high entry barriers into the flooring industry, Honda Wu invested in equipment and provided meticulous maintenance services, demonstrating irreplaceable strength. Honda Wu's determination and keen observation have kept HAU CHENG at the forefront of building material trends. In 2003, Honda Wu introduced the concept of small-packaged foreign building materials to Taiwan, developing a fine joint grout for polished tiles with KINWON, which gained widespread acclaim during the polished tile boom.
