Chengdu IFS Mall serves as a fiercely contested arena for fashion boutiques. Amid the cacophony of competing brands, ANEST COLLECTIVE gracefully carves out a tranquil oasis. The space's minimalist design encourages visitors to decelerate and pause, attentively examining the distinctive and creatively narrated setting before them.

The owner, with a deep affection for art and design, has been immersed in the fusion of traditional and contemporary European aesthetics for years, developing a distinct taste in design. In conceptualizing the Chengdu store, the brand treated the behind-the-scenes work as a theatrical metaphor, engaging in discussions with designers, and resisting confinement within opulent boundaries. The brand was reluctant to settle for mere stacking of conventional materials in the spatial design. Therefore, the concept of "unveiling the studio's essence" was adopted as the guiding principle, transforming the space into a canvas where the abstract outlines of the space are sketched with minimalist and narrative strokes.

The display space, with its gallery-like pristine white base, allows for a clear view of the striking staircase upon entering. The special stretch fabric screens placed haphazardly on both sides create a semi-transparent and abstract ambiguity, softly delineating the internal passageways. Immersed in this dreamlike setting, selecting garments becomes an enchanting experience, with the mood shifting as one navigates through the space, setting the stage for an impromptu fashion show that captivates onlookers from outside.

Behind the screens of curtains, a selection of furniture creates an open and comfortable resting space, where the sofa area incorporates the fireplace element from the Shanghai store, symbolizing home stability and serving as a marker of customer identity. This design overturns the traditional impression of boutiques as aloof and inaccessible, resonating with the brand's daring vision of seamlessly integrating artistic creativity into design. The steps, constructed from layers of fabric, produce a mirroring effect that appears infinite, extending the brand's signature A-line style. One can envision the space at the end of the stairs as either a sacred altar, a revered sanctuary, or a sought-after haven of rest, with its ultimate destination left to the imagination of each customer.

The design concept of the commercial space reflects the shared vision of the owner and the designer, with batik furniture and art installations in the display area serving as a means of conveying ideas. The actions of customers meeting and searching for clothing add suitable details to this creative space of consciousness, while the blank spaces are left for the owner to freely interpret, leaving the "Evolving Canva" with numerous possibilities for the future, co-creating the future contours of the space with customers.
