Delineated spatially outlining the occupants' preferences and transforming the expressive aspects of life at whim, at times quiet and gentle, at times flamboyant and colorful, the dynamic transitions are transient while the shifts in state of mind are momentary, constituting a varied and enriching setting for the home, imbuing a leisurely and unhurried undertone to day-to-day routines, for a more heartfelt touch and a rewarding harvest of the years.
The home is inhabited by a young couple, always welcoming and hospitable, passionate in life and knowledgeable in living, and often hosting friends and family for small gatherings. For their new home, a common area where they can share their happiness with one another is central to their vision and pursuit, and since the old house has a fragmented layout, the envelope and sense of enclosure in the renovated space came also as an emphasis for the homeowners.
While the sharp and distortionary edges were once considered to be challenging imperfections, with ingenuity, they were transformed into highlights. By using rounded ceilings in series to form curved boundaries, the designer not only defines the spatial dimensions by encapsulating the rugged corners, but also blurs the existing irregular structural patterns, while simultaneously circumscribing the beams to mollify the low-beams. The circular extensions also form an implicit guide for movement, permitting the public and private areas to blend with each other while remaining independent, as opposed to being clearly delineated and partitioned.
By raising the ceiling to expand the visual experience of the space, the living room is broadened and concentrated. With the application of natural materials such as solid wood, stone and lime stone coating, the space is dyed with an earthy atmosphere, reflecting a warm, relaxed and collegial lifestyle through factors implying simplicity and ease of stress. A kitchen island also serves as a gathering point for social interactions, with equidistant pieces extending from the flanking wine cabinets to the ceiling, offering a subdued ambience characterized by the presence of lighting in the crevices, or at times transforming itself into a fashionable bar with changes in lighting color, ideal for gatherings as well as showcasing the owner's bartending expertise.
Inspired by the natural light that sprinkles the room, with its warmth and purity, the room is composed of a therapeutic atmosphere constructed with lightweight materials by using subtractive aesthetics and white-space proportioning, suffused with a rhythmical and gentle ritualistic touch, with imaginative depth and without being formulaic, unveiling the prelude to the happy narratives of the residents and realizing a harmonious day-to-day experience of surprises and discoveries in coordinated ratios and scales.
以居住者的期許刻劃空間，隨心所欲變換生活表情，時而沉靜溫潤，時而華彩繽紛，動靜的流轉僅在瞬間，心境的更迭也只是須臾，為家建構多變豐富的場景，給慣於匆匆的日常，挹注悠緩閒適底蘊，多點心靈感動、歲月豐收。住宅成員是一對年輕夫妻，為人大方好客，熱愛生活也懂生活，時常接待親友，小聚微醺。對於新家的想像與追求，能共敘齊歡的公領域是核心，且由於老房子格局畸零，因此改造後空間的包覆性、圍塑感也是屋主強調的重點。
畸零尖角本是棘手缺陷，帶入巧思後卻成了亮點。設計師利用圓弧天花串聯銜接成曲線，除了把崎嶇稜角包覆起來，界定空間量體並模糊原有畸零的結構型態，同時也把梁包起來，改善低梁的問題。環狀的延伸也形成隱晦的動線引導，讓公、私領域各自獨立但又彼此融合，而不是界線清楚、壁壘分明。
透過天花升高放大空間視覺，塑造客廳的開闊氣場與集結感，搭配實木、石材、萊姆石塗料等天然選材應用，為場域披染大地氣息，藉由質樸紓壓的因子，展現溫馨放鬆、共享絮語的生活光景。
廚房中島亦是交流聚點，從側邊酒櫃延伸至天花板以片狀等距排列，提供縫中有光的柔和意境，亦可隨著燈色的轉變，搖身化作時尚摩登的飲酌吧檯，既適合歡聚氛圍，也能一展男主人的調酒專業。灑滿一室的自然光，溫暖而純粹，利用減法美學留白配比，以輕質建構療癒風，充盈著節奏緩慢的儀式感，具想像厚度、不流於制式，為起居者的幸福故事揭開序幕，實現美好日常，在和諧比例與尺度中，衍生驚奇與發現。
