"The faster the world is, the slower the mind is." During the day-to-day routine of work, there is no better moment than when the aroma of coffee is infused with the taste experience brought by roasting. In order to provide such a moment of beauty, Now Chance Coffee, famous for its home-roasted beans, has opened a second store next to Nanjing Fuxing Station, where there are many commuters, and is situated around the corner from Liaoning Park, specializing in take away coffee. It is a place where people with fast paced life and busy schedules can take a break and get a moment of peace.
Following the diagonal corner of the alley, the eye is drawn to the clever framing of the facade. Warm yellow streaks of light from the interior are slowly cast through the slender glass windows onto the retreating concrete seats and suspended iron tables of the ramp, creating a corner of repose. On the other side, a window opens to show passersby a performance called coffee roasting routine, while providing a bit of privacy without losing the green landscape of sunlight falling on the surrounding plants. The space retains the original building's ceiling and rubbed stone floor. The rough box is infused with a large wood grain, a fusion of old and new, continuing the warm and soft atmosphere of the first store, with the dark wood as the color of the coffee beans.
The designer Zeng Guofeng, influenced by the architect Scarpa, injected poetry into the details of the spatial sequence, using curved lines, laminates, volumes, and linear elements to piece together the bar, product displays, and the layers of different areas of spatial flow. The bar is made by stacking three different materials to create an independent and compact function distribution. The clear glass panel displays various kinds of desserts, the stainless steel countertop connects with the solid wood to divide the cashier's counter, and the freshly brewed coffee is displayed on the curved stainless steel volume, presenting a rustic feel to the customers. The circular arched walls are extended to the ceiling to envelop the whole space; the linear chandelier welded by custom-made square tubes plays an important soul role in highlighting the space, and the light and stable character spreads to the product display area. In the fast-paced Taipei City, Now Chance Coffee appears slow and pure without bluffing, so relax and enter the quiet space with the fragrance of coffee.
『世界越快，心 則慢』。日復一日的上班常態中，咖啡陣陣飄香醉入烘焙後帶來的味覺體驗，那便是再愜意不過的時刻。為了提供這樣的片刻美好，以自家烘豆聞名的鬧蟬咖啡，在上班族眾多的南京復興站旁，緊鄰遼寧公園巷弄轉角開了二店，主打Take away（外帶）咖啡，讓快節奏的腳步、繁忙的人們，能在這裡小歇片刻、獲得一絲平靜。
順著巷弄的斜角，視線被門面巧妙的框景吸引而去，暖黃色光條從室內透過細長的玻璃窗緩緩地投射在騎樓退縮下的水泥座及懸吊鐵件桌上，營造出一隅休憩角落，另一側開窗，則向路人展示一場名為咖啡烘焙日常的表演，同時實現了些許隱蔽性，卻又不失周遭陽光灑落在植栽上的綠意風景。空間上保留原有建築物的天花板及磨石子地板，在這個粗曠的盒子中注入大面積木頭紋理，新舊剛柔融合，延續了一店的溫潤柔和氛圍，深色木質如同咖啡豆呈現的色澤。
設計師曾國峰受建築師Scarpa的影響，在空間序列為細節注入詩性，以弧形線條、層板、量體，線面體元素，拼湊出吧台，產品展示，空間流動不同場域的層次，吧台透過三塊不同材質的量體堆疊交接出獨立又緊密的機能分布，清玻璃面板展示各式樣甜點，不鏽鋼檯面銜接實木劃分出收銀櫃檯，在鏽鐵漆弧形量體上擺出剛沖煮好的咖啡，將質樸的手感遞交給客人。圓拱形牆面衍生至天花，包覆起整體空間；訂製方管焊接起的線性吊燈在凸顯空間中扮演重要的靈魂腳色，輕盈而穩重的性格也蔓延至產品展示區。在步伐急促的台北市區中，鬧蟬顯得緩慢純粹而不虛張聲勢，放輕腳步一起伴隨著咖啡香進入塵囂中的一縷靜謐。
