工藝雋影捎來的療癒時刻——Ritzwell 表參道門市

Craftsmanship Brings a Healing Moment - Ritzwell Omotesando Shop & Atelier

表參道的街區上,既有時尚潮流,也能細品藝文與建築的氛圍。日本家具品牌Ritzwell選址於此區的街廓中,避開繁華的街道喧囂,與綠意為鄰,由外而內,為消費者營造舒適的感官體驗。Ritzwell表參道門市特別之處在於,將產品展示空間與職人空間做結合,在一般的家具展示店舖中,消費者無從得知家具的製作過程,而在這裡,不僅能感受到產品本身創造的氛圍,也能藉由工作室的櫥窗看到家具設計過程,讓職人精神成為一場又一場的展演。

 

On the streets of Omotesando, there is a fashionable and cultural atmosphere where one can appreciate the art, culture, and architecture. Ritzwell, a Japanese furniture brand, is located in this area, away from the noisy and busy streets, nestled amongst greenery, to create a comfortable sensory experience for customers from the outside in. The unique aspect of Ritzwell's Omotesando store is the integration of the product display space with the craftsman's workspace. In typical furniture showrooms, customers have no way of knowing the manufacturing process of the furniture. However, here, customers can not only experience the atmosphere created by the products themselves but also see the furniture design process through the workshop's display window, allowing the spirit of the craftsman to become a continuous exhibition.
 
 

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

2022年Ritzwell表參道門市正式開幕,店舖的透過玻璃隔屏誠懇展現自我,與街道、行人緊密聯繫,由外而內觀看,每個視角都能找到值得欣賞的家具。除了地坪使用木地板展現空間的柔和感,立面與天花染上灰色調作為基底,牆面上的抹灰沙漿營造優雅而粗糙的飾面,襯托出家具的工藝細節。燈光與家具溫柔接觸,由上而下、明暗有度的展現出每個家具的獨特氣質,受訪者認為照明並非平鋪直敘的,而是掌握明暗漸變與對比,即便消費者的視覺只能觸碰到產品的一部分,也能透過陰影引導,想像出完整畫面。有了燈光的氛圍營造,空間中彷彿有一股療癒徐流,吸引著行人投以目光。

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

In 2022, Ritzwell's Omotesando store officially opened. The store's transparent glass partition earnestly displays itself, closely connecting with the street and pedestrians. From the outside in, every angle can find furniture worth admiring. In addition to using wooden floors to showcase the space's softness, the facades and ceilings are dyed in gray as a base, while the plaster on the walls creates an elegant and rough texture, highlighting the furniture's craftsmanship details. The lighting gently touches the furniture, displaying each piece's unique temperament from top to bottom with proper brightness and darkness. Interviewees believed that lighting was not just a matter of plain narration but rather the mastery of gradual changes and contrasts between light and dark. Even if consumers' vision can only touch a part of the product, they can imagine the complete picture through shadow guidance. With the atmosphere created by the lighting, there seems to be a gentle flow of healing in the space, attracting the attention of passersby.

 

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

為了給消費者更好的體驗,每個展示區塊以最舒適的尺度鋪排,模糊彼此的界線,並確保從任一角度去欣賞整體空間,一切的陳列都是和諧的。以及,特別設計了往上抬升的框景,這個發想源自於和式空間中客廳區的壁龕(TOKONOMA),讓人聚焦於此區,細細感受工藝之美。此外,穿越展示區塊,人們很快就能發現位於底端的工作區,隨著路線深入空間中,氛圍也悄悄轉變。側邊壁面上整齊排列出一張被解構的椅子,再細看玻璃櫥窗內,工具與原料的陳列一絲不苟,Ritzwell利用這個工作室定期舉辦職人的工藝展演。只要感受到職人製作的氛圍,人們對於產品的看法就可能發生變化,儘管將展示區與工作室的結合並不容易,細緻的產品與未完成的手工過程,看起來些許矛盾,在空間設計的過程中經過反覆思索與討論,最終克服了難題,讓不同的區塊屬性成為彼此和諧的畫面。

 

 
 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In order to provide consumers with a better experience, each display area is arranged in the most comfortable scale, blurring the boundaries between them and ensuring that the overall space can be appreciated from any angle, and all displays are harmonious. In addition, a specially designed raised frame was created, inspired by the tokonoma in the living room area of Japanese-style spaces, allowing people to focus on this area and appreciate the beauty of the craftsmanship. Furthermore, as people pass through the display areas, they quickly discover the working area located at the bottom, and as they delve deeper into the space, the atmosphere quietly changes. Neatly arranged on the side wall is a deconstructed chair, and upon closer inspection of the glass showcase, tools and materials are meticulously displayed. Ritzwell uses this workshop to regularly hold demonstrations of craftsmanship by artisans. Just by experiencing the atmosphere of the artisanal production, people's perceptions of the product may change. Although it is not easy to combine the display area with the workshop, the delicate products and the unfinished manual processes may seem somewhat contradictory, through repeated thinking and discussion in the process of spatial design, the challenge was ultimately overcome, making the different properties of the areas become a harmonious picture.

 

 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

在現今的眾多產品中,設計者與客人之間總是有那麼一段距離,客人看不到是誰在製作產品,設計者也無法知曉是什麼樣的人在使用產品。Ritzwell藉著此工作室的設置,讓設計者與消費者進行接觸,試圖尋找產品的深層價值,並且這對於兩者來說都是很寶貴的交流。受訪者也進一步分享與客人們互動的愉快故事。某一天,一對年邁的夫婦到展間內參觀,準備為女兒購買新婚家具,過程中的閒聊讓情緒時常處於低潮的妻子得到了解放,「從來沒有在店鋪中玩得這麼開心過」,離開時她說道。閒談中的共鳴情感十分觸動人,誠懇的交流在彼此心中形成暖流,成為愉快的回憶,而這也是Ritzwell表參道門市期待帶給客人的感動。

In the multitude of products today, there always seems to be a distance between designers and customers. Customers cannot see who is making the products, and designers cannot know who is using them. By setting up this studio, Ritzwell tries to bridge the gap between designers and consumers, in an attempt to find the deep value of the product. This is a valuable exchange for both parties. Interviewees also shared happy stories of interaction with customers. One day, an elderly couple came to the showroom to buy furniture for their daughter's new home. The conversation during the process allowed the wife, who often felt low, to feel liberated. "I've never had so much fun in a store before," she said as she left. The emotional resonance in the conversation was very touching, and the sincere exchange formed warm streams in their hearts, becoming a happy memory.
