Duplex in las Salesas

This project transforms an old office space into a two-story residence, where flowing curves and defined edges blend to create a seamless transition, breathing new life into the once-static environment and shaping it into a comfortable living space. The layout maintains an open, spacious design, with the exception of the kitchen. Each floor features bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and generous living areas, creating a balance between privacy and comfort, while naturally delineating day and night zones.

The curves on the ground floor flow like gentle waves, starting at the entrance, widening the narrow entryway, and extending throughout the space with an organic continuity. The upper floor, in contrast, presents distinct geometries with a large sloping roof edge, adding layers of visual intrigue. A newly designed staircase serves as the bridge between these geometric forms, softly and elegantly connecting the design language across the two levels.

In terms of design materials, the interplay between vertical elements and floor textures infuses the space with a unique character and charm. The oak structures define the daytime public areas while offering secluded, private corners for nighttime use, achieving a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. This cohesive spatial language flows throughout the entire residence, allowing the warmth and refinement of the materials to resonate, imparting a continuous and harmonious ambiance where every corner exudes a poetic sense of living.
