Ennea Hotel

Ennea Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of Puerto Escondido, Mexico, just two blocks from the famous Punta Zicatela beach. Nestled on an elevated coastal terrain and adjacent to a nature reserve, the hotel takes advantage of its unique climatic conditions, creating a microclimate that enhances the serene atmosphere. Surrounded by local vegetation and offering expansive sea views, the hotel allows guests to unwind from the fast pace of everyday life and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings.

Jaque Studio believes in the pursuit of pure architectural forms, using innovative approaches with natural materials to strengthen the connection between space and environment. This philosophy is applied in Ennea's design, which features three main structures, welcoming both the city and the landscape. The first structure, envisioned as a small temple, serves as a double-height reception area. This space, with its bridges and staircases, provides a gradual transition from the street to the gardens, restaurant, and hotel rooms.

The second structure features a grand palapa, supported by exposed concrete columns, allowing natural ventilation and offering views of the central garden, swimming pool, nature reserve, and the sea. Beneath the restaurant, the hotel's service and administration areas are strategically located.

The third structure is a rectangular prism with a large helicoidal staircase made of reinforced concrete connecting the upper levels of rooms. The ground floor functions as a shaded extension of the garden and pool area, offering a cool retreat from the midday heat without the need for air conditioning. Positioned parallel to the reserve and perpendicular to the coast, this structure ensures unobstructed views of the bay and allows all rooms to enjoy views of both the reserve and the sea.

All hotel buildings face a central garden, which features two "tree house" style rooms, a bar area, a massage pavilion, and the main pool. To emphasize the architectural identity, Ennea uses materials that emulate the textures, colors, and materials of the region, incorporating exposed finishes, wood, stone, and local fabrics. This approach embraces the local aesthetic, allowing guests to deeply experience the cultural essence of this port city and fully enjoy their time at the resort.
