「反覆演練:預演」

 

 

台北當代藝術館MoCA Studio「反覆演練Re-her-sal:預演」由長期關注青年與性別議題的策展人嚴淳齡擔綱策劃,匯集5位藝術家:李秀芬、林沛瑤、程時雍 x 姸青、趙曼君,透過影像、裝置、行為表演等形式,深入探討女性生命經驗、身份認同與空間場域之間的關係。

 

 
"Rehearsal for Re-her-sal: Preview," curated by Chun-Lin Yen, who has long focused on youth and gender issues, brings together five artists: Shiou-Fen Li, Pei-Yu Li, Shih-Yung Cheng x Genn Lau, and Man-Chun Chao. Through video works, installations, and performance art, the exhibition explores the connections between women’s life experiences, identity, and spatial environments.

「反覆演練Re-her-sal:預演」源自《反覆演練Re-her-sal》系列計畫,展覽名稱中的「Re-her-sal」是對「rehearsal(排演)」的刻意錯拼,強調其中的「her」作為女性的代名詞,並寓意重複與修補。這樣的命名不僅點出對性別進行探討,也將藝術展演的「反覆性」延伸至生活中的日常經驗、學習過程與創作實踐。展覽以「女性經驗與身體」以及「空間場域與身份」為兩大主題,邀請觀眾重新審視性別、身體與美術館空間的關係,並透過女性視角挑戰藝術展覽的固有框架。

 

 
 
"Rehearsal for Re-her-sal: Preview" originates from the "Rehearsal for Re-her-sal" series. The deliberate misspelling of “Re-her-sal” emphasizes “her” as a pronoun for women, implying repetition and repair. This naming not only highlights a focus on gender but also extends the concept of artistic repetition to daily life, learning processes, and creative practices. The exhibition centers on two main themes: “Women’s experiences and the body” and “Spatial context and identity.” It invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between gender, the body, and museum spaces, while challenging the conventional frameworks of art exhibitions through a female lens.

策展人嚴淳齡於記者會致詞表示:「在這檔展覽中,我們探討女性經驗和身份,思考美術館的展演方式與表演的關係,以及身體與空間的可能,並期待能藉此機會,讓觀眾對年輕創作者有更多的認識。」

 

 

During the press conference, curator Chun-Lin Yen remarked, “This exhibition explores women’s experiences and identities, reflecting on the connection between museum display practices and performance, as well as the interactions between the body and space. We hope this exhibition offers the audience a deeper understanding of young creators.”

出生於高雄,現居住、生活於新北市及臺北市。現為國立臺北藝術大學美術學系博士生。曾以平面繪畫、影像為創作媒材,後來則多嘗試空間裝置與跨領域創作。近期則以策展、書寫與研究為主,關注青年與性別等議題。策展相關經歷包含《儚垠 Waste Land》(2019,濕地)空間創作與共同策展、《永久(免)審查》(2021,打開當代藝術工作站)共同策展,以及《反覆演練 Re-her-sal》計畫發起人與策展人。

 
Yen Chun-Lin was born in Kaohsiung and currently resides in New Taipei City and Taipei. She is a PhD student in the Department of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts. Initially, her creative work focused on painting and imagery, but she later expanded into spatial installations and interdisciplinary art. Recently, her work has centered around curating, writing, and research, with a particular focus on youth and gender issues. Her curatorial projects include Waste Land (Venue, 2019), where she was involved in spatial installations and co-curation, and Permanent Exemption (from) Censorship (Open Contemporary Art Center, 2021), for which she served as a co-curator. She is also the initiator and curator of the Rehearsal for Re-her-sal project.
