“Creation is a little like moving through darkness,” he says. “Once you see even a small point of light, you focus on moving towards it.”

Where the Past Meets the Present in Design

Just steps from the Aegean Sea, the concept store mirrors the island itself—understated yet enduringly elegant, tactile in its materiality, effortlessly alluring. Together with Anastasia Tsourekas, founder of Louisa stores, and Thanasis Panourgias, owner of Bardot, Papadaki extends the brand’s philosophy of mindful living, seasonality, and refined simplicity into a spatial and culinary experience.

As architects, we should not consider private space as an isolated entity. We should understand it as something that has enormous consequences for the lives of others, for the territory, and for the use of resources. I am increasingly interested in the collective implications of personal desires—in the space between what is owned by one person and what affects everyone. The balance depends on how we understand what happens beyond the four walls of private spaces. We need to acknowledge that there is no such thing as a purely interior space. Every space is also an exterior, and unfolds in countless ways toward the outside.

For Borger, documentation is an extension of craft and personality that allows each work to carry an extended narrative. Every piece becomes not only an object but a vessel for ideas, a trace of process, and, ultimately, a functional artifact with artistic resonance. The rigor embedded in creation and development grants these works their value, revealing that even the most familiar, everyday objects are far from simple.

The allure of Patek Philippe lies not in investment alone, but in the union of craftsmanship, timeless design and lineage that each creation represents. There is a calm confidence and restraint in its aesthetic—a quality that invites contemplation rather than spectacle. What is it, then, that allows a brand with more than 185 years of history to captivate successive generations of collectors around the world?
