來自火柴盒上的靈光，成就丹麥座椅經典
Inspired by a Matchbox Sketch, a Danish Seating Classic
坐進 Hunting Chair，想像著自己正舒適仰臥，遙望星空，耳邊響起營火細燃聲猶如呢喃細語。閉上眼，於戶外狩獵小屋度過悠然時光的情景悄然浮現。將身體完全傾托給身後的柔韌皮革，雙手枕於耳後、小腿放鬆交疊，此刻正適合回味這一日來的收穫。
如此一張令人心生嚮往的單椅，靈感卻是從 Børge Mogensen 隨手將草圖畫在火柴盒上而得來。這神來之筆後來成為在 1950 年丹麥家具公會哥本哈根秋季展覽中亮相的作品，爲生活中專注追逐目標的獵人們，提供暫時停下腳步的休憩之所。入座時，座椅十七度向上傾斜，舒適貼合身體曲線，感覺全身重量被穩穩托住。同時，座椅前緣離地僅 30 公分，無需費力即可輕鬆起身，再次投入動態節奏，以優雅姿態回應一份保持彈性的敏銳。
This highly coveted chair was inspired by a spontaneous sketch Børge Mogensen drew on a matchbox. The idea later became a reality at the 1950 Copenhagen Autumn Exhibition of the Danish Furniture Guild, offering hunters—those focused on pursuing their goals—a place to pause and rest. When seated, the chair tilts upward at seventeen degrees, comfortably conforming to the body while the front edge sits just 30 cm above the floor, allowing effortless standing and a graceful return to activity.
全椅使用實木榫接工藝製作，視覺上簡約輕盈，結構性亦異常穩固，馬鞍皮椅面與背靠增添了幾許隨性不羈與鬆弛的氣質。而隨著時光流逝，皮革也會越來越柔軟，藉由可調式皮帶讓坐感能被細緻調整，融入更為個人的私藏體驗。沉浸在 Hunting Chair 帶來的靜謐時刻中，彷彿仍能與那時代的設計大師對話，心中不時浮現他熱衷工作隨手記錄靈感的畫面，與 FREDERICIA 的合作亦延續了他「讓每一個丹麥人都買得起高品質傢俱」的理想。
Crafted entirely with solid wood mortise-and-tenon joinery, the chair is visually light yet structurally robust. Its saddle leather seat and backrest impart a casual, relaxed character. Over time, the leather softens further, and the adjustable straps allow for finely tuned personal comfort. Immersed in the tranquil moments the Hunting Chair provides, one can almost converse with the designer himself, imagining him passionately capturing inspiration in sketches. The collaboration with FREDERICIA continues Mogensen’s vision of making high-quality furniture accessible to every Dane.
