奢石，重繪場域邊界
Luxury Stone: Redrawing Spatial Boundaries
步入大興石材展示空間，視線並未隨室內尺度延展而是聚焦於略低具透光質地的石材接待檯。照明並非單一由上而下投射，取而代之的是與頂部燈飾與間接光源協同作用，在接待檯的主導下被統整校準，微妙平衡場域的明暗視覺。光影在此重新劃定場域邊界，引領到訪者感知空間尺度的細膩層次，營造多層次且柔和的展場環境。
Upon entering the Dah-Shing stone showroom, visitors’ eyes bypass the room’s volumetric expanse and lock onto the reception counter—set just below eye level, its semi-translucent surface immediately commanding focus. The lighting design rejects a simple downlight scheme: overhead pendants and hidden indirect sources work in concert, while the counter itself channels illumination across the horizontal plane, actively balancing light and shadow. This precise orchestration redefines the showroom’s edges, guiding visitors toward a refined perception of scale within a softly layered glow.
櫃檯採用巴西皇家寶鑽石材，礦脈在高溫高壓與流體作用下，石英發生重結晶進而形成大顆粒晶體，因而同時具備了透光與結構強度。透過設計凸顯了石材特性，使其達到載重亦作為獨特的光學介面，將結構與照明合而為一。
The counter is quarried from Brazilian Royal Diamond calcite, where quartz grains recrystallized under intense heat, pressure, and mineral-rich fluids into coarse, interlocking crystals. The stone thus unites structural strength with gentle translucence. By deploying it as both a load-bearing element and a luminous membrane, the design fuses mass and light into a single expressive gesture.
光從底部與側面滲出，削弱量體下緣陰影營造出懸浮感。沿檯體側邊行走腳下仍感石材扎實質量，卻可透過背光讀取豐富紋理形成固體與半透介面之間的臨界層。透光石材不僅突破「沉重即不透光」的既定認知，更在機能之上引入光、物質與感知的對話，為空間奠定獨特的感官經驗。
Light seeps out from the counter’s base and sides, softening its lower shadow to evoke a subtle sense of suspension. Walking alongside, one still feels the calcite’s solid weight underfoot, even as back-lighting reveals a delicate network of veins poised between opacity and translucence. By overturning the notion that heft excludes luminosity, the installation stages an intimate dialogue of material, light, and perception—endowing the space with a quietly unforgettable sensory presence.
