The brand A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE proposes clothing for future generations, featuring ISSEY MIYAKE’s original A-POC manufacturing system inherited and developed by an engineering team led by designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae. The new store "A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE / KYOTO" is designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. Linking tradition to innovation, the brand’s new street-level store harmoniously combines a refined Kyoto machiya townhouse with a futuristic look using aluminum. A futuristic space is born in a machiya-style house of Japan’s ancient capital. Inspired by the process in which the clothes of A-POC are born, the space is composed of fixtures that are formed of integrally molded aluminum. Like the manufacturing of ISSEY MIYAKE, which fuses technology with handcrafts, this space expresses the contrast of history and the future.

由創意總監宮前義之（Yoshiyuki Miyamae）領軍，繼承三宅一生A-POC的製作理念，品牌核心理念以未來世代的服裝為訴求，從紗線與布料為原點，開創許多結合日本傳統之美的前衛設計。而A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE京都店的空間設計，是由曾經設計三宅一生與無印良品展示空間的設計師吉岡德仁（Tokujin Yoshioka）親手操刀，一如服飾本身的設計，室內空間也融入了傳統與創新的元素，外觀古色古香的日式町屋建築，與採用鋁金屬以呈現未來現代感的內部陳列相互揉合，在日本京都這座蘊藏豐富傳統文化的城市街道中，誕生了未來感的空間一景。如此的空間樣貌靈感來自於A-POC製衣過程，該空間由一體成型鋁製固定裝置組成，正如同ISSEY MIYAKE結合現代技術與手工藝創造服裝，這座空間也展現出傳統與未來對比的共存。
