Q: Could you share the philosophy behind naming the studio "鞠躬上場" (literally, "bowing before entering the stage")? How does this relate to your approach in designing as a medium of dialogue between people and space?
A. 設計對我們來說，不只是解決問題與機能的工具，它比較像是一種安靜的介入、一種與空間深層對話的方式。鞠躬上場這個名字的意義其實很單純，團隊將「鞠躬」視為設計者進場前的姿態，是尊重土地、理解時間還有傾聽人和空間之間關係的開端。
A: For us, design is not simply a tool for solving problems or optimizing function. It is a quiet form of engagement—a way of listening deeply to the space. The name "鞠躬上場" captures this intention. We see bowing as the designer’s posture before entering a site—a gesture of humility, a respect for the land, an understanding of time, and an openness to the relational dynamics between people and place.
