Q. For you, what does “intuition” mean? When this deeper self-awareness becomes a design language and is tested by real-world constraints such as budget, function and craft, how do you hold emotion and reason in balance?
A. 直觀這件事很純粹，往往不假思索，看見什麼，心底便激起什麼。只是，當我們走過不同人生階段，這份直觀也變了模樣。年輕時，它來自於毫無遮掩的本性；歲月漸長後，縱使那份「想把事情做好」的初心未曾改變，看事情的角度卻在歷練中，凝鍊成一種更為嚴苛的審視。
A. Intuition is pure because it arrives before reasoning. You see something, and something in you responds. Yet as we pass through different stages of life, intuition changes its shape. When we are young, it comes from an unguarded nature. With age, even if the original wish to “do things well” remains, experience sharpens the eye into a more exacting judgement.
