「家中的每個空間，都有其獨特的敘事。」大向設計的項目裡，在質樸底蘊中，讓設計不僅回應機能，更貼合居者的性情與日常節奏。空間成為一種溫柔的書寫，描摹生活軌跡，也讓人在設計中安然自在地展開日常。這個住著一家四口的新家，兩個小男孩正值成長的活力時期。屋主希望與孩子一同長大，讓交流自然發生。設計師打開客餐廳界線，以地坪材質為界，使視覺與動線更通透。多功能室設於廊道中央，以拉門串連，讓封閉的廊道得以呼吸。再搭配展示櫃設計，讓公私領域在虛實之間更為自在流動。
Every room in a home carries its own quiet narrative. In the projects of Dimension Design, a restrained, honest palette ensures that design answers functional needs while staying close to the residents’ temperament and daily rhythm. Space becomes a gentle form of writing that traces the lines of everyday life and allows people to inhabit their routines with ease and a sense of calm. In this new home for a family of four, the two young boys are at an age of unreserved energy. The parents hoped to grow alongside their children and to let moments of exchange arise naturally. In response, the designers opened up the boundary between the living and dining areas, using a change in floor finishes to define zones while keeping views and circulation clear. A multipurpose room is placed at the center of the corridor and linked with sliding doors so that what was once a closed passage can now breathe. Paired with a run of display cabinets, the plan allows public and private areas to glide between solid and void, giving the household a more relaxed way of moving between exposure and retreat.
理性與秩序，呼應屋主與設計師的特質。移至客廳的鋼琴，不僅讓音樂在家中流動，也以琴身高度勾勒隱形軸線，延伸至櫃體與天花，使空間隱含內在秩序。餐廳櫃體、沙發背牆畫作與走廊櫃體彼此呼應，讓空間對話而不重複，產生和諧且富趣味的韻律。鋼琴也延伸出整體色調。屋主希望家中有別於工作場域的冷冽，能帶來溫潤與安定。設計師以自然木質與石材色調，搭配大片米白牆面，為空間引入留白的暖度，容納日常情緒與變化。富肌理的礦物塗料自電視牆延伸至沙發背牆，再單面轉折向內，由平面轉為立體；在白牆映襯下，讓塗料的情緒性由表面滲入空間深處，如光影緩緩流動。
Rationality and order reflect the shared character of both the owners and the design team. The piano, relocated to the living room, lets music travel through the house and, through the height of its case, sketches an invisible axis that extends into the cabinetry and ceiling, lending the interior a quiet underlying structure. Dining-room cabinetry, artwork on the wall behind the sofa, and storage along the corridor answer one another across the space, creating a rhythm that feels harmonious and engaging without ever becoming repetitive. The piano also sets the tone for the home’s colors. Wanting a contrast to the cool, hard atmosphere of their workplace, the owners asked for a sense of warmth and reassurance. The designers introduced natural timber and stone finishes against expansive off-white walls, bringing a warm field of white space into the home to hold everyday moods and shifts. A textured mineral coating runs from the TV wall to the wall behind the sofa, then turns inward on a single plane and becomes a three-dimensional surface. Framed by the surrounding white walls, its emotive surface seems to seep from the skin of the wall into the depth of the room, like light and shadow slowly drifting across the space.
在理性與情感並存的開放場域裡，灣型沙發環抱生活的多重面向。條燈勾勒結構，立燈與踢腳燈以柔光點亮生活，餐廳吊燈為日常添上戲劇性，使空間故事在光影間鋪展。設計師觀察兩個孩子的迥異特質，為房間展現不同面貌。一間因低梁而成閣樓斜頂，配置床架與活動家具，為安靜善收納的孩子打造小天地；另一間則為活潑隨性的孩子架高床，塑造兩處截然不同的孩房空間。多功能室的收納櫃集中靠牆，讓家人能自在遊戲，也能靈活轉化為客房。最具特色的，是如歐美家居般的室內家務區，整合洗衣、晾曬與收整機能。屋主回家後可立即換上潔淨衣物，在家中自在來去。這不僅映照屋主的專業與見識，也呼應疫情後對潔淨與生活品質的思考。主臥最吸睛的，是那面似畫非畫的電視牆。螢幕關上時是沉靜黑面，開啟時如彩畫流光；畫框厚度隱去線路，使機能與美感相得益彰。在設計師營造的靜謐與和諧中，空間隱隱流動著饒富趣味的生活氣息，也將繼續生長出屬於這個家的美好敘事。
Within the open area, where rational structure and emotional life coexist, a curved sofa gathers the many facets of family living. Linear light fixtures trace the built forms; a floor lamp and recessed baseboard lighting soften the edges of the room with a gentle glow. Above the dining table, a pendant light adds a touch of drama, so that the story of the space unfolds through shifts of light and shade. Attentive to the boys’ contrasting personalities, the designers gave each bedroom a distinct character. In one room, a low beam creates the opportunity for a loft-like, sloping ceiling; here, a bed frame and movable furniture form a compact world for the quieter child who enjoys tidiness and storage. In the other, a raised bed suits a more playful, spontaneous temperament, resulting in two children’s rooms with strikingly different atmospheres. Storage in the multipurpose room is concentrated along a single wall to keep the center open, allowing the family to play freely and enabling the space to convert easily into a guest room when needed. One of the home’s defining features is an indoor utility zone, planned in the manner of European and American homes, where laundry, drying, and organizing functions are brought together. On returning home, the owners can change into clean clothes immediately and move about the house with ease. This arrangement reflects their professional outlook and broader horizons, while also answering post-pandemic concerns about cleanliness and quality of life. In the primary bedroom, the most arresting element is the television wall, poised somewhere between screen and painting. When switched off, the display is a calm black surface; when on, it takes on the shifting colors of a luminous artwork. The depth of the frame conceals wiring and connections, allowing function and aesthetics to support one another. Within the stillness and harmony shaped by the designers, the space carries a quiet but lively sense of everyday life—an ongoing narrative that will continue to grow with the family and belong uniquely to this home.
