縵居 The Veil House
位於高雄巷弄的縵居，有著與其周遭長屋不同的語彙。大門入口從柱子的跨距一分為兩半，滑動的巨型拉門在半半間清楚地定義了回家的形式，一半是步行入口，另一半是車輛入口。
一樓切割出三個區域，室內—半戶外—室內，平面形式如同安藤忠雄的「住吉的長屋」，中間設置建築內的私人庭院，半戶外空間佈滿小碎石及植栽，將兩道入口匯集至此拉長了回家的路經，不疾且不徐。
Located in the alleys of Kaohsiung, The Veil House boasts an architectural vocabulary distinct from its surroundings. The main entrance is bisected by the span of pillars, with a huge sliding gate that, when partially open, clearly defines the form of returning home; one half is for pedestrian access, and the other half for vehicles. On the first floor, three areas are carved out: indoor—semi-outdoor—indoor. The layout resembles Tadao Ando's Row House in Sumiyoshi, with a private courtyard set in the middle. The semi-outdoor space, filled with pebbles and plants, gathers both entrances, elongating the path home, neither hurried nor slow.
被劃分成三個方形的平面，屋內最後方林立著穿透整棟建築的梯間。因其傳統長屋將廚房空間配置於屋內末端，住宅又與後棟緊貼相鄰，因而將建築背面轉為封閉性，將開口轉向接收中央庭園天井帶來的自然光源，提供這個內向的方盒保持一個開放的空間型態。公共領域完整的占據二樓的平面樓層，環繞著明亮的中庭，而客廳處的挑高尺度，為空間迎來更寬廣透亮的視覺。簡潔的平面劃分延伸到客臥及主臥，機能排列於柱間內，各自獨立動線流暢。
The building's layout is divided into three square sections, with a stairwell penetrating through the entire structure at the rear. Due to the traditional longhouse design with kitchens located at the rear, closely adjoining neighboring houses, and the close proximity to neighboring buildings, the mixture of cooking smells becomes unpleasant. Hence, to mitigate the issue of cooking smells, the back of the building is designed to be closed off. The openings are oriented to receive natural light from a central courtyard atrium, maintaining an open spatial layout within this inward-facing box. The public domain occupies an entire floor plan, intertwined and encircling, with the living room area extending upwards to create a brighter and more open space. The simplicity of the layout extends to guest and master bedrooms, with functions arranged between pillars, each having independent and smooth circulation.
狹窄的巷弄中，屋裡一舉一動皆透明的展露在鄰里之間，存在著社區住宅共享生活的氛圍。美商博梵在建築外部的介面，選擇運用清水磚砌法製作了一道曖昧牆體形成界線。建築內部的開放性，以機能決定了磚牆的疏密排列，日常的行為活動構成這一片窗隅，獨特的立面表情宛若屋主一家的生活影像。白天微風輕拂，自由地在室內流動;夜晚，滲透而出的屋內光線，形成與街道的對話場景。
In the narrow alleys, the issue of shared living with the residence opposite is palpable, as every movement within the house is transparently exposed to the neighborhood. Paperfarm Inc, on the exterior interface of the building, has employed exposed brickwork to create an ambiguous boundary between transparency and opacity. The openness of the interior functions influences the arrangement of the bricks, with daily activities shaping this corner by the window, forming a unique facade expression that mirrors the lifestyle of the homeowner's family. During the day, a gentle breeze flows indoors. At night, light seeps out from within, creating a dialogue between the architecture and the urban landscape.
綠色磨石子的階梯延續了臺灣傳統老宅元素，清水磚外觀繼承「台灣煉瓦會社打狗工場」的磚窯歷史，而地坪的水磨石磚扎實呈現復古懷舊的氛圍，簡約特質的內裝配置為這幢透天厝架構出新與舊的交織篇章。
The green terrazzo stairs extend the element of traditional Taiwanese old houses, while the clay bricks’ appearance inherits the history of the 'Former Tangrong Brick Kiln.' The terrazzo floor tiles evoke a nostalgic Taiwanese retro style. Complemented by a variety of interior furniture styles, they orchestrate the new and old chapters of this detached house.
