A single-person dwelling space belongs only to its owner, and is a space of self-honesty that reflects the naturalness of the inner self and envelops the purest behavioral patterns. Home is a sanctuary for the soul, and we all yearn to be able to release the day's stress and enjoy complete relaxation when we return home. Through daily ritualistic routines, we feel the flow of time and the ups and downs of every thought, enjoying the wisdom accumulated from the accumulation of small daily pleasures.

The middle-aged homeowner has high expectations for their residence. They hope that everything, including the flow of movement and daily routine, is smooth and comfortable in their own space. By using a strip-based design approach and looking at the space from a bird's-eye view, different functional zones and atmospheres are created by using flooring materials to make linear divisions that connect the sleeping area, living room, dining room, master bedroom, entranceway corridor, kitchen, and study horizontally. The entranceway design is very ingenious, with a solid wood mass inserted to connect the living room and entranceway, which are separated by a low TV wall. The sleeping area connection also employs a similar technique, using a limited field of view through a gap to reveal a corner of the spatial atmosphere behind the wall, subconsciously strengthening the sense of connection between each space.

The homeowner often relaxes by purchasing ingredients and cooking as a way to de-stress from work. The home design includes a spacious kitchen with an L-shaped work desk and an island that doubles as a dining table, as well as an extension of the living area. Listening to the sound of washing vegetables, the rhythm of chopping, and the sizzling of cooking with high heat, and watching delicious dishes being made, smelling the aroma, tasting the deliciousness, and enjoying the soft and crispy texture with your mouth – the space is designed to stimulate all five senses and create memorable experiences, allowing the homeowner to fully enjoy the process of cooking. The homeowner also values cleanliness and has requested designs that are easy to clean and store, such as replacing bathroom doors with bronze stone that is less likely to stain from water and semi-screens made of brick to separate the dry and wet areas. In addition, the homeowner has requested a separate bathroom and a home office to store work materials.

A special area for relaxation has been designed in the living space, featuring an embedded aquarium and a small landscape adorned with green plants and clinging vines. Through a glass partition, a serene atmosphere is conveyed, while a small section of the platform extends towards the kitchen, forming a connecting link between the two areas for activities and communication. By transforming daily routines into enjoyable experiences of subtle details, a sense of fulfillment in life is created, letting a calm state of mind enrich one's life.

單人型態的空間只忠於屋主一人，也是對自我誠實的空間，反映出內在的自然，包裹著最純粹的行為模式。家是心靈的憩所，我們都渴望回歸居所後能卸下一日的壓力，享有的全然的放鬆，透過儀式性的生活日程，感受每一刻時光的流轉、每一分心緒的起伏，享受平靜日常是歲月點滴累積的智慧。

歲值中年的屋主對於住宅有著期待，期待在屬於自己的空間中，一切動線與生活作息都順暢舒適。從平面圖縱觀空間，運用帶狀的配置思維，將窗前臥榻、客餐廳到主臥室、玄關廊道、廚房與文件室，以地坪材質做線性劃分，形塑不同區塊的機能與氛圍，同時也作為橫向的串連。玄關處的設計極具巧思，置入一實木量體貫通被電視矮牆區隔開的客廳與玄關，臥榻的串連也是相似的手法，藉由縫隙中有限的視角，揭開牆面後的空間氛圍一角，潛意識中強化了每個空間的連結感。

平日工作壓力較大的屋主，時常藉由採買食材、烹飪進行自我療癒，在配置上給予寬敞的廚房空間，能容納L型工作平檯，以及中島結合餐桌，同時也作為起居空間的延伸。聆聽淅哩哩洗菜聲、剁刀節奏、大火油燒滋滋作響，眼觀佳餚、鼻聞香氣、口啖美味、齒齧軟與酥，以五感創造空間記憶。此外，屋主對於環境整潔十分重視，容易收納、清理的設計為必要，也提出不使用衛浴拉門的需求，以不易流水漬的青銅石材取而代之，並設計半屏磚面隔離乾、濕兩區。而單人住宅也較能做到的精緻化功能空間，比如規畫出獨立衛廁間，以及因應工作需求，配置一間文件室儲放資料。

生活空間中特別規劃出一個靜心區塊，鑲入一魚缸，擺設綠植攀附奇石的小型造景，透過玻璃隔屏傳遞著靜謐的嚮往，平臺往廚房延伸形成一小段臥榻，藉此連結兩個區塊的活動與交流。將一人的日常活成感受細微小事的享受，讓平靜的心態豐滿生命。
