MILAN, Italy – Poesis Materiae Aligning with “Materia Natura” – the theme of Fuorisalone 2024 that advocates and supports a more conscious design culture, promoting sustainability as guiding principle and fundamental value in any creative process — ZHD has teamed up with Iris Ceramica Group, a world leader in the production and distribution of high-end ceramic slabs for design and architectural projects.

Highlighting the potential of ceramic slabs as a medium for fluid, curvaceous designs, Poesis Materiae is a sculptural installation resulting from the implementation of traditional manufacturing techniques through the most advanced technical equipment — creating a system of usually standardised elements in which each individual component has a unique, subtle variation.

整個裝置的概念是描述一個由自然元素影響的多層次景觀，表現了創造力、自發性和耐久性的慶祝。裝置巧妙地結合了傳統的標準化程序和非直角的流暢設計線條，且突出了材料的柔韌性和塑性，以及整個生產過程的可持續性特點。

The concept ideally describes a stratified landscape, featuring a series of paths informed by natural elements — a celebration of ingenuity, spontaneity and, above all, durability. The installation coherently merges traditional procedures of standardisation with the non orthogonal, fluid lines of the design — highlighting through the most innovative industrial techniques the ductility and plasticity of the material, as well as the genuinely sustainable aspects of the overall production process.
