Q.您如何帶領團隊做出有別於市場的空間設計？近境制作的設計師需要具備什麼特質？

Q: How do you lead your team to create space designs that stand out from the market? What qualities should Design Apartment’s designers possess?

A.設計的差別性是向內尋求，而不是找尋世俗的標準，如果不停向外尋找差別性，很可能做到最後就什麼都不像。我覺得要往內找到自己真正喜歡的部分且扎根，透過這個過程讓自己喜歡的東西慢慢沉澱出來。在心中保有理想和青春的氣息，設計師需要將對於事物的想法與理解呈現在作品裡，所以我很在乎近境的設計師是否跟我同頻，也就是找到跟我一樣對設計感到興奮、有活力的人，如果不能對設計和身旁的事物維持著感動的狀態，那就是所謂的瓶頸，遇到這種情況就要想方設法讓自己甦醒、想辦法急救自己，找回再次開啟觸動感知的能力。你必須得坦然且重覆的去面對外界更多風雨，才能在設計這塊土壤上牢固扎根！這是突破瓶頸很重要的一環。所以設計師要不停地讓自己感受創作所帶給你的快樂，即使清楚過程辛苦，仍然有願意將它完成的那份動力，而這種創新跟突破，只有自己清楚。像我時常在電影、藝術品、文學、音樂等內容中獲得感動，這種過程的感知極其珍貴。

A: The uniqueness in design is sought inwardly rather than by adhering to conventional standards. Continuously seeking external differentiation can lead to a loss of true identity. I believe it’s essential to delve inward and find what you genuinely love, allowing this process to reveal your preferences over time. Designers should maintain an idealistic and youthful spirit. They need to reflect their thoughts and understanding of things in their work. Therefore, I value whether Design Apartment designers resonate with me—whether they share my excitement and energy for design. If a designer cannot sustain a state of being moved by design and their surroundings, they’ve hit a bottleneck. In such cases, they must find ways to reawaken themselves, resuscitate their senses, and regain the ability to perceive and be touched. You must calmly and repeatedly face external challenges to firmly root yourself in the field of design! Overcoming bottlenecks is an essential part of this process. Designers must continuously derive joy from their creative endeavors, even when the process is arduous, and remain motivated to complete their work. This drive for innovation and breakthrough is something only the individual can fully understand. I often find inspiration and emotional resonance in movies, art, literature, and music. This sensory process is incredibly precious.
